Beginning:
- Make sure people know the song "Gangnam Style" by Psy
- Maybe some trivia to get things started
- History of house music as a genre and its heritage from disco
- Patriarchy in the language "Oppan Gangnam Style"
- "Oppa" is a gendered language used when a woman refers to her older brother; by comparing the listener to a woman, this is actually domineering much the same way drill instructors would refer to male recruits as "ladies"
- Symbolism of "Gangnam"
- Rich, upscale area in Seoul with many expensive VIP clubs
Middle:
- There are actually at least three dances associated with the Gangnam Style; hopefully teach the most famous two of them
- If time permits, teach the other dances
- Put the dances, however many taught, into a choreography
- Delivery: show how it is done in slow motion, break the dances down into movements, lots of slow practice gradually going up to speed
- Maybe consider learning how to say "Oppan Gangnam Style" with Korean vowels
- Do the choreography build up in "middle", hopefully to actual music- whether it be two, three, four, or five moves
Great topic, but this lesson plan is excessively vague still! You need to attend to approximate timings, to which dance(s) you will be teaching, which trivia you intend to include, and all the other details. Going in to a lesson with an exceedingly vague plan doesn't work well; there may be amendments and improvisation needed, but you also need to have a good plan to start from (and this isn't there yet)!
